WebSure Internals

WebSure's proxies HTTP and HTTPS requests through its filter engine in three phases:

The URL request is first passed through the Request Filters. The Request Filters will make a decision to either block the request, modify it or pass it to the Proxy Engine.

The Proxy Engine in turn fetches the request and returns the requested resource to the Response Filters.

When the contents are passed to the Response Filters, scanning and modification is performed on the response data. If the response is not blocked by one of the filters at this stage, the data is passed to the client.
